NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the Harper-Eccles Sewer Extension Project which consists of (1) constructing a sewer collection system to provide public sewer service to approximately 320 residents and businesses in the Harper & Eccles area of the PSD’s sewer system boundary and (2) upgrades to the PSD’s existing wastewater collection and treatment system.
The project is to be funded by the WV Abandoned Mine Lands Program, WV Clean Water State Revolving Fund Program, Raleigh County Commission ARPA funds, and other State funding programs.
This project will include (1) the installation of 47,500 feet of 8” gravity sewer lines, 18,000 feet of 6” gravity sewer lines, 10,500 feet of 6” and 2” sewer forcemains, 280 manholes, 320 sewer laterals, 3 main pump stations with emergency generators, and 11 grinder pump stations in the Harper and Eccles area of Raleigh County, (2) upgrades to the existing Plant Main Lift Station and existing Sunny Acres Lift Station, and (3) upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant’s disinfection system and emergency power generation.
This notice is also to inform the public of a public meeting to be held on October 10, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at the GracePointe Fellowship Church, 3674 Harper Road, Harper, WV 25851, (681) 207-3062. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to become acquainted with the proposed project and to comment on economic and environmental impacts, service area, or alternatives to the project.
