Notice is hereby given that CORNERSTONE MINING, LLC, 150 COURTHOUSE ROAD, SUITE 302, PRINCETON, WV 24740 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 850.1 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300812 to Coal Surface Mine in the Pocahontas No. 3, 3R, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 and splits seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Pinnacle Creek of Guyandotte River, Unnamed Tributaries of Pinnacle Creek of Guyandotte River, Unnamed Tributaries of Crane Creek of the Bluestone River, of the New River of the Lower of Ohio River and is located 2.8 miles, Northwest of Matoaka in Barkers Ridge Rock District of Wyoming Mercer County, Longitude 81o 17’ 44” and Latitude 37o 25’ 21” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
