Supply and Delivery of Tasers with Bluetooth Integration and Body Cameras with Secure Cloud Storage
1. Overview
The Fayette County Commission is seeking sealed bids from qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of the following equipment to enhance officer safety and ensure effective evidence management:
1. 30 Tasers with Bluetooth connectivity to integrate with body cameras for automatic recording initiation.
2. 30 Body Cameras with secure cloud-based storage and associated features.
3. 25 Bluetooth trigger boxes capable of connecting to various parts of the vehicles (light bar, door ajar, etc) to automatically trigger bodycam recording.
2. Technical Specifications
A. Tasers and Holsters
• Quantity: 30 Tasers
• Features Required:
o Bluetooth capability to automatically activate recording on linked body cameras when the Taser is deployed.
• Holster:
o Durable holster compatible with the selected Taser model.
B. Body Cameras
• Quantity: 30 Body Cameras
• Features Required:
o Cloud Storage: Secure, cloud-based storage solution for video evidence.
o Evidence Management: Tools for secure handling, tagging, and managing video evidence.
o Redaction Software: Capability to redact sensitive information within recorded footage.
o Video Format: Non-proprietary video formatting to ensure compatibility with standard media players.
o Battery Life: Minimum of 12 hours of continuous operation.
o Charging: Ability to trickle charge for extended operational readiness.
3. Submission Requirements
• Deadline: All bids must be received before 3:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
