Notice is hereby given that Greenbrier Minerals, LLC, P.O. Box 446, 119 Rich Creek Road, Man, WV 25635 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 97.44 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV 25601, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U505392 to operate and maintain a deep mine in the Powellton seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Buffalo Creek; unnamed tributaries of/and Toney Fork of Huff Creek; Unnamed tributaries of Sycamore Creek of Huff Creek, Coal Branch of Huff Creek; All of Guyandotte River and is located 2.2 miles, Northeast of Lorado in Triadelphia and Oceana Districts of Logan and Wyoming Counties, Longitude 81°40’21” and Longitude 37°48’00”.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 02/02/2025, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
