NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Fayette County Commission will receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m. on March 3, 2025 for inspection, asbestos abatement, and demolition of the follow structure:
100 North Court St. Fayetteville, WV 25840 (Historic Jail building)
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Fayette County Courthouse 100 N Court St. Fayetteville, WV 25840 Commission Chambers.
We request sealed proposals to be mailed to Fayette County Commission, Attn: REAP Demolition Proposal, PO Box 307 Fayetteville, WV 25840. Sealed bids can also be hand delivered to 100 N. Court St. Suite 2. Fayetteville, WV 25840 by the deadline. Sealed proposals will be opened publicly at the Fayette County Commission meeting on March 5, 2025 at or shortly after 9:45am. Proposals should be mailed to Fayette County Commission, Attn: REAP Demolition Proposal, PO Box 307 Fayetteville, WV 25840. Sealed bids can also be hand delivered to 100 N. Court St. Suite 2. Fayetteville, WV 25840 by the deadline. The commission requires bidders to use Beacon Bid to view asbestos reports, pose inquires, and receive updates and notifications. Beacon Bid is a free service. This demolition program is part of the REAP Demolition Grant. The demolition will be contracted per location if grant funding allows and project will have to be complete by July 30, 2025.
