REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS
Historic Fayette County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building Roof Replacement
The Fayette County Commission invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the Historic Fayette County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building Roof Replacement 200 W Maple Ave, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the Fayette County Commission, located at the Fayette County Courthouse, 100 Court Street, Fayetteville, West Virginia 25840, until 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on March 28, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at a regularly scheduled County Commission meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at or shortly after 9:30 a.m. A Mandatory Pre-Bid will be held Tuesday March 18, 2025 1:00 p.m. at the Fayette County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building, 200 W Maple Ave, Fayetteville, WV 25840.

Scope of Work
The selected contractor shall complete the following work:
o Pressure wash and prepare the existing roof system.
o Remove any loose debris from the roof system.
o Remove all existing drip edge and counterflashing on the roof system.
o Adhere a 115ml fleece-back EPDM system per the current manufacturer’s specifications over the existing roof assembly.
o Fabricate and install new counterflashing made from 24-gauge
Kynar-coated steel.
o Fabricate and install new drip edge made from 24-gauge Kynar-coated steel.
o Provide a 20-year manufacturer’s labor and material warranty.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bidders shall submit the following:
1. Company profile, including experience and references for similar
projects.
2. Proof of licensing and insurance.
3. Detailed bid proposal including cost breakdown.
4. Timeline for project completion.
5. Any deviations or substitutions from the specified materials or
methods must be clearly outlined.

BID OPENING
A public bid opening will be held April 2, 2025 during a regularly scheduled Fayette County Commission Meeting at or shortly after 9:30 a.m. The contract will be awarded at a later date after review of bids for compliance.
