AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that Kanawha Stone Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a G40-C General Permit Registration for a nonmetallic mineral processing facility located along Airport Road, Beaver, Raleigh County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates for the facility are 37.758103, -81.137759.
The applicant estimates that the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:
Nitrogen Oxides: 0.939 tons/year
Carbon Monoxide: 8.216 tons/year
Total Organic Compounds: 0.845 tons/year
Sulfur Oxides: 0.785 tons/year
Particulate Matter: 1.45 tons/year
Particulate Matter – 10: 5.04 tons/year
Carbon Dioxide Equivalents: 443 tons/year
Formaldehyde: 0.032 tons/year
Total Hazardous Air Pollutants: 0.017 tons/year
Startup of operation is planned to begin in or about 1st day of June, 2025. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57 th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
