Notice is hereby given that ROAD FORK DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LLC, P O BOX 460, , BRENTON, WV 24818 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 57.41 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U400105 to Coal Underground in the Pocahontas 3 seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Wallace Cabin Branch and Rich Branch of the Guyandotte River and Shaft Hollow of Wolf Pen Branch of Indian Creek of Guyandotte River of Guyandotte River and is located 1.7 miles, west of Pineville in Center District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81° 34‘ 4“ and Latitude 37° 34‘ 37“ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until August 21st 2025, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
