ORDER OF PUBLICATION
This action seeks the appointment of Jennifer Hensley or an appropriate individual as the guardian of the mineral interests of Joshua Alan Hensley and Matthew Jacob Hensley (the “Minors”) pursuant to West Virginia Code Section 44-10-3 covering the Minors’ mineral interests located in Tyler County, West Virginia (the “Subject Minerals”) pursuant to West Virginia Code Section 37-1-11. The Subject Minerals are identified by the Tyler County Assessor’s Office as Lincoln District, Tax Map 4, Parcel 98, Tax Map 4, Parcel 100, Tax Map 4, Parcel 101, Tax Map 4, Portion of Parcel 105, Tax Map 4, Portion of Parcel 106, Tax Map 4, Portion of Parcel 107.
It appearing by affidavit filed in this action that Petitioner Antero Resources Corporation (“Antero”) has exercised due diligence to ascertain the residence or whereabouts of Respondent Jennifer Hensley, the Minors’ biological mother, pursuant to West Virginia Rule of Civil Procedure 4(d)(1)(A) without effect, and therefore desires to achieve service of process upon her by publication pursuant to West Virginia Rule of Civil Procedure 4(e)(1)(C).
Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that Respondent Jennifer Hensley must appear and serve upon Plaintiff Antero Resources Corporation’s counsel, Lauren K. Turner, Addison M. O’Rourke, and Samantha A. Wilson of the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC, whose address is 400 White Oaks Boulevard, Bridgeport, West Virginia 26330, an Answer or other response to the Verified Petition filed in this action by August 25, 2025, which is not fewer than thirty days after the date of the first publication of this notice, otherwise judgment by default will be rendered against her at any time thereafter.
A copy of the Verified Petition can be obtained from the Circuit Clerk’s office in the Raleigh County Courthouse located at 222 Main Street, Beckley, West Virginia 25801.
