INVITATION TO BID
Wyoming County Schools will receive sealed bids until October 7, 2021 at 11:00AM local prevailing time for Westside High School HVAC Renovations (Bid Package 1) and Roofing Renovations (Bid Package 2) at the Wyoming County Schools office, 155 Park Street, Pineville, West Virginia 24874. The Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at approximately 11:15AM at the Wyoming County Schools office, 155 Park Street, Pineville, West Virginia 24874.
The Bid Package 1 work consists of HVAC renovations and associated plumbing, electrical, and structural work at the existing 109,000 SF building at 122 Renegade Way, Clear Fork, WV 24822. The Bid Package 2 work consists of roofing replacement on the same building. Bidders have the option of providing a single lump sum for both Bid packages.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond each in the amount of at least one hundred percent 100% of the Contract Price. A satisfactory Bid Bond, furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in amount equal to five percent (5%) of bid, must be furnished with each bid. The Bid Bond of the unsuccessful Bidder will be returned when the Award of Contract is made; that of the successful Bidder will be returned when the Contract and Bonds are approved.
The Bidding Documents, which consist of the Drawings and the Project Manual, are on file at the Office of the Architect, Montum Architecture, LLC, 55 ER Path, Keyser, WV 26726. Contact the architect at 304-276-7151 or [email protected] to obtain a digital copy bidding documents via a web-based file sharing service.
Contractors may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents by contacting the Architect beginning on September 2, 2021. A non-refundable fee of $200.00 is required for each printed set of biding documents. Only complete sets of Bidding Documents will be issued and bidding documents include documents for both Bid Packages.
A mandatory Pre-Bid conference will be held in the auditorium of the existing Westside High School, 122 Renegade Way, Clear Fork, WV at 11:00AM on September 30, 2021.
No bids will be considered from anyone other than those present at the Pre-Bid conference.
After the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days. The bid bond shall be forfeited to Wyoming County Schools, as a measure of Liquidated Damages should the Bidder fail or refuse to execute the Contract and furnish the Performance Bond and Labor and material Bond within ten (10) days after written notification from Wyoming County Schools of Award of Contract to that bidder.
The Bidder, if successful and awarded the contract, agrees that all work is to be complete within timeframe listed in the Project Manual. For each calendar day of delay in achieving completion, the Owner may retain liquidated damages in the amount prescribed by the Project Manual.
