Broad Street, Kenbridge, Virginia, 23944, intends to apply to the Federal Reserve Board for permission to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities of First Community Bank, 29 College Drive, Bluefield, Virginia, 24605, associated with the branch office of First Community Bank located at 125 W. Atlantic Street, Emporia, Virginia, 23847, and to establish a branch office at 125 W. Atlantic Street, Emporia, Virginia, 23847. The Federal Reserve considers a number of factors in deciding whether to approve the application, including the record of performance of applicant banks in helping to meet local credit needs.
