REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The City of Bluefield, West Virginia is seeking responses to this Request for Proposals from interested parties for asphalt paving within the city limits of Bluefield, West Virginia. All pavements shall be wearing course with a minimum thickness of 2″. Curbing shall be replaced where current curbing will be deemed ineffective and additional curbing may be necessary during construction, as directed by City of Bluefield personnel. Details are provided below. Mini-maps can be provided, via email, upon request.

— Elwood Street
o From Washington St. to Jefferson St.
— Vineyard Street – Section A
o From College Ave. to the dead end
— Vineyard Street – Section B
o From South St. to College Ave.
— Hunter Lane
o From South St. to College Ave.

— Proposed total price for all
paving
ALL PROPOSALS MUST BE SEALED AND CLEARLY MARKED “SPRING 2022 ASPHALT PAVING”. PROPOSALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 3:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME, JUNE 3, 2022, AND SEALED BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 4:00 P.M. ON JUNE 3, 2022. WORK MUST BE COMPLETED AND INVOICED NO LATER THAN JUNE 24, 2022.
Faxed or emailed proposals cannot be accepted.
The City of Bluefield will afford full opportunity for minority business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to this invitation and will not discriminate against any interested firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap or national origin in the contract award. The City of Bluefield reserves the right to contract with one firm for the entire project or more than one firm for various components of the project, as the City deems to be in its best interest.
