Legal Notice

NOTICE that the Town of Fayetteville Council will hold two (2) public hearings on June 27, 2022; the hearings will be held at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the Fayetteville Town Hall, 125 North Court Street, West Virginia 25840. The public is invited to attend and submit comments on the proposed Fayetteville Zoning Ordinance. Copies of the proposed zoning ordinance, including maps, will be available for review prior to the public hearings during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM) at the Fayetteville Town Hall and the Fayetteville Public Library located at 200 W. Maple Avenue, Fayetteville, WV 25840. The proposed zoning ordinance is also available to view online at https://fayettevillewv.gov/. The proposed zoning ordinance divides land in Fayetteville into zoning districts, which specify permitted and conditional uses as well as development standards for real property within the zoning districts. The proposed zoning ordinance also creates a board of zoning appeals, adopts procedures and requirements for nonconforming land uses, variances, and conditional use permits; and specifies certification requirements for the zoning district map that are consistent with the Fayetteville Comprehensive Plan. Members of the public can call Matt Diederich 304-574-0101 if they are unable to review the zoning ordinance at the town hall, the library, or online. Written comments and objections to the proposed zoning ordinance, prior to the hearings, may be made and will be heard at the public hearings and must be filed, prior to the hearings, with the Fayetteville Town Clerk at the Fayetteville Town Hall, 125 North Court Street, West Virginia 25840.
