The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors intends to abandon the entirety of Virginia Secondary Route 9561 (former Pocahontas High School), measuring a total distance of approximately 0.26 mile. This matter is being considered by the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors, as Virginia Secondary Route 9561 no longer serves any public necessity.
Citizens interested in giving written or oral comments may do so at the public hearing. County & VDOT staff will be available to discuss information regarding the proposed abandonment. Please contact the Tazewell County Administrator’s Office with any questions.
