INVITATION FOR BID
2022 STREET PAVING PROJECT
The Town of Bluefield, Virginia will be accepting sealed bids for the resurfacing of sections of Town streets at the Office of Trent Crewe, Town Manager, Town Hall, 112 Huffard Drive on or before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following, but not limited to: the President’s Executive Order Number 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President’s Executive Orders Number 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.
It is the bidder’s responsibility to meet all federal, state, and local laws required in submitting bids.
Bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids received after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 will be returned unopened.
Bids may be mailed but must be clearly marked: Town of Bluefield, Attn: Paving Bids, 112 Huffard Drive, Bluefield, Virginia 24605. Faxed bids will not be accepted. The contract documents will be given out upon request.
