LEGAL NOTICE
The City of Parkersburg will receive sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF STATION 2 FIREHOUSE. Project includes but may not be limited to demolition of existing structures and construction of a new Fire Station on the existing site. Electronic bid documents are available at www.pickeringplanroom.com at no cost. Hard copies can be ordered on the plan room for the cost of printing.
There will be a mandatory pre bid meeting at Fire Station No 2 located at 600 16th Street, Parkersburg WV on June 5, 2018 at 11:00 am.
Bids will be received in care of Eric Jiles, the Finance Director, no later than 10:00 A.M. Friday June 15, 2018 at the Municipal Building #1 Government Square Parkersburg, WV. There will be a Public Bid opening in the Glenn Meeks Conference Room located on the second floor of the Municipal Building. At that time, 10:00 a.m. June 15, 2018, all bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
Contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers must comply with required contract provisions of Federal-Aid Construction Contracts. Per City of Parkersburg Ordinance 135.01 requirements for Purchases and Bids, there will be a preference for resident vendors and work performed shall be by local labor.
The Finance Director shall have the authority to reject all bids, parts of bids or all bids for any one or more supplies for contractual services included in the proposed contract, when the public interest will be served thereby.
Vendors shall be registered in the state of West Virginia.
