Request for Qualifications

The Mercer County Commission is in the process of obtaining qualifications from engineering and/or architectural firms interested in providing professional services for the design and construction of a new record storage facility for Mercer County. The consultant will work closely with the Mercer County Commission and other team members.

Professional services may include: (I) Preliminary environmental and design; (2) Final design; (3) Construction in accordance with all State, Federal and Local regulations that pertain to the proposed project; (4) Preparation of bidding and contracting documents; (5) Participation in the evaluation of bids received; (6) Monitor and inspect construction activities on a periodic basis to insure compliance with plans and specifications; (7) Preparation and delivery of final “As Built” drawings and data in GIS format (shapefile, geodatabase, etc.) with data georeferenced to and assigned real-world coordinates. Procurement of said services shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 50 and Federal Register 2 CFR 200.214.

Consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit detailed qualifications including technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities, and related prior experience.

Please submit one (I) original and three (3) copies of all requested information to the Mercer County Commission, RFQ Record Storage Facility, 1501 West Main Street, Suite 210, Princeton, WV 24740. Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken through federal, state, and/or local funding sources.
