PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
City of Oak Hill, West Virginia
CHARTER AMENDMENT
Notice is hereby given by the City of Oak Hill, West Virginia, that it will hold a public hearing on April 18, 2023, at 5:30 pm in the Council Chamber at Oak Hill City Hall, 100 Kelly Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901.
The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the City of Oak Hill’s proposed Charter Amendment for Section 8 City Elections. Any qualified voter or any freeholder of the city may appear and file objections, in writing, and if no objections are filed, the said amendments shall become operative on May 3, 2023.
If objections are filed and are not withdrawn within 10 days thereafter, the governing body may abandon the proposed amendments to which objections have been filed or may submit the proposed amendments, either as a unit or separately, at the next regular municipal election on June 13, 2023.
Copies of the Charter Amendments are available for public inspection at Oak Hill City Hall, Oak Hill, WV, beginning on March 16, 2023, between the hours of 7:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The amendment changes will also be available on our website at oakhillwv.gov under the latest news.
