Notice is hereby given that BLUESTONE COAL CORPORATION, 302 SOUTH JEFFERSON STREET, ROANOKE, VA 24011 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 65 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number H041400 to Other – Haulroad Only in the NA seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Laurel Branch, Bottom Creek of Elkhorn Creek, White Oak Branch of Payne Branch of Pinnacle Creek of Tug Fork and Guyandotte Rivers and is located 3.4 miles, Northwest of Northfork in Barkers Ridge and Browns Creek District of Wyoming and McDowell County, Longitude 81o26’26” and Latitude 37o27’56” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until June 8, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
