Notice is hereby given that the following has been appealed from the action of the City Manager in refusing to grant the following zoning permits:

Item #1

Application # 10342 by Latonya Porterfield to open and operate a Beauty Salon at 201 Jones St, Bluefield, WV.

Reason for Refusal:

Zoned Residential Multi Family (RMF). Zoning Board of Adjustments may authorize by special exception.

Item #2

Application #10347 by the Railyard to erect a 14′ x 4′ sign at 530 Raleigh Street

Reason for Refusal:

Sec. 44-300 b.1 – BC Central Business District

On-site signs shall be flush with the face or side of the building and shall not project more than 18 inches beyond the face or side of the building, except upon special variance applied and granted.

A public hearing will be held at City Hall in the Board Room, 200 Rogers St, Bluefield WV, on Wednesday, May 17 at 4:30 pm. If you have questions, you may contact me at 304-327-2401 ext. 2407.
