AND INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids will be recieved by the McDowell County Commission of Welch, West Virginia for the work listed below at the Berwind Dam area. Bids will be received in the County Clerk’s Office located at 90 Wyoming Street, Suite 109 Welch, WV 24801. Sealed bids must be clearly marked “Berwind Dam” and “Attention: Linda White”. Bids must be mailed or hand delivered and must be received by 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Bids received after this time will not be considered.
Work to be completed includes:
Clean & repair approximately 400 feet of ditch in the parking lot area.
Build & establish a 4ft. flat bottom ditch with 2-1 slopes and 4 feet deep approximately 300 feet, rip rap and grouted.
Remove stumps and trees debris
Repair slips on embankment and stabilize slope
Seed where necessary
A mandatory meeting will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10 am at the Berwind Dam. Attendance is required! The purpose of this Mandatory meeting is to go over the scope of the work to be completed.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on July 12, 2023 at a Regular County Commission Meeting at 4 pm at the Old National Guard Building located at 600 Stewart Street Welch, WV 24801. Bidders are invited to attend the Bid opening.
Contractor’s license, copy of liability insurance, and worker’s compensation coverage must be included in bid.
