NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF WELCH,
WEST VIRGINIA
APPLICATION TO:
WEST VIRGINIA MUNICIPAL HOME RULE PROGRAM
Notice is hereby given by the City of Welch that it will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 11, at 4:00 p.m.at the City Hall, Welch, West Virginia 24801.
The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the City of Welch’s proposed Home Rule written plan and application pursuant to the provisions of West Virginia Code ยง8-1- 5a, as amended. The information gathered and presented at this public hearing will be utilized by the City in its application to the West Virginia Municipal Home Rule Board.
The City of Welch’s proposed Home Rule Plan will be available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk, at Welch’s City Hall, 88 Howard Street, Welch, West Virginia 24801, beginning on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing on September 11, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. to present oral or written comments concerning the City of Welch’s proposed Home Rule plan at that time. Written comments may also be addressed to Robin Lee, City Clerk, City of Welch, 88 Howard Street, Welch, West Virginia 24801.
The first reading of the ordinance concerning the City of Welch’s Home Rule written plan and application, will be considered by Council for adoption on August 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers during its regularly scheduled meeting, 88 Howard Street, Welch, West Virginia 24801.
The second reading of the ordinance concerning the City of Welch’s Home Rule written plan and application, will be considered by Council for adoption on September 11, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., immediately following the public hearing at the City Hall, Council Chambers, 88 Howard Street, Welch, West Virginia 24801.
