The City of Mannington is accepting sealed bids for the demolition and removal of asbestos of six structures in Mannington, WV. Specifications: All materials must be disposed of at an approved solid waste facility and the site must be seeded and graded when removal is completed. Due to funding constraints, the demolitions must be completed by October 1, 2023. Additional information is available at city hall or by email. Any State or City permits will be the responsibility of the contractor. Bidders must include a copy of their state and city business licenses and proof of insurance with their bid. A 5% bid bond must also be included with your bid along with a performance bond. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 14 at 9:00 a.m. at city hall. All questions to be submitted by 4:00 pm on August 11 to Mayor Lora Michael. Bids will be accepted at the City Clerk’s Office, City of Mannington, 206 Main Street, Mannington, WV 26582 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Please mark “Demolition Sealed Bid” on the outside of the envelope. City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
