Notice is hereby given that MID-VOL COAL SALES, INC., 640 CLOVER DEW DAIRY RD, PRINCETON, WV 24739 has a permit on file with the Department of Enviromental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 3.22 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U401709 to Operate a underground Coal Mine in the Pocahontas No. 4 seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Ballard Harmon Branch of Tug Fork River and is located 1.0 miles, Southwest of Jenkinjones in Adkin District of McDowell County, Longitude 81o 26′ 41″ and Latitude 37o 17′ 6″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until September 30, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
