Notice is hereby given that JACKS BRANCH COAL COMPANY, PO BOX 150, CANNELTON, WV 25036 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1101 George Kostas Drive, Logan, WV, 25601 for a Phase 1, 2 and 3 release on Permit Number S008379 Increment Number 1 issued for 410.33 acres and Increment Number 2 issued for 17.45 acres.
Notification is also hereby given for Phase 1 release on Increment Number 4 issued for 47.92 acres.
The permit is located in Cabin Creek District of Kanawha & Fayette County, 3.0 miles northeast (Direction) of CANNELTON (Nearest PO) on Bullpush Fork of Smithers Creek and Huges Fork all of Bells Creek (Primary Receiving Stream) of Gauley River (Secondary Receiving Stream) of Upper Kanawha River (Major Drainage Basin).
JACKS BRANCH COAL COMPANY completed final reclamation on 3/1/2003 (Date) and is requesting release of 100 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $1,101,480.00 for Increment No. 1 and $48,240.00 for Increment Number 2. Sixty Percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $128,640.00 is being requested for Increment number 4.
