BOX 69, 622 PACKS BRANCH ROAD, PAX, WV 25904 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 952.06 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S300101 to Coal Surface Mine in the Clarion, Tionesta, Upper Belmont, Middle Belmont, Upper Coalburg, Lower Coalburg, Buffalo Creek A, Buffalo Creek, Dorothy, Lower Dorothy 1, Lower Dorothy 2, Chilton Rider, Chilton, Hernshaw, Dingess, Williamson and Alma seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Cabin Creek and unnamed tributaries of Cabin Creek, Long Branch of Fifteenmile Fork of Cabin Creek, Long Branch of Clear Fork of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 2.36 miles, northeast of Ameagle in CabinCreek/Valley/Clear Fork District of Kanawha, Fayette and Raleigh County(ies), Longitude 81deg. 22′ 52″ and Latitude 37deg. 58′ 18″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
