NOTICE OF PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE
OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Walnut Grove
United Methodist Church)

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of United Methodist Church will, on or after November 8, 2023 GRANT and CONVEY to the Walnut Grove Church Trustees with Special Warranty of Title all of their right, title and interest in and to those certain lots or parcels of real estate situate, lying and being in Union District, Marion County, West Virginia, described as follows to-wit:

PARCEL ONE

BEGINNING at a stone near the big road N. 41 W. eight poles to a stone N. 49 E. eight poles to a stone S. 41 E. eight poles to a stone S. 41 E. eight poles to a stone S. 49 W. eight poles to the beginning containing sixty-four poles.

And being the same property conveyed from William Swearingen to Trustees of the Union Meeting House by Deed dated November 21, 1852 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Marion County, West Virginia in Deed Book 6, at Page 43, reference to which is hereby made.

PARCEL TWO

Beginning at a stone corner to the Church House Lot to the County Road near a drain Crossing the road, 6 poles towards the run to a stone thence west ward 5 poles to a stone thence 6 poles to the Church House Lot at the said road and with said line and road 5 poles to the beginning containing 30 poles more or less.

And being the same property conveyed from Charles W. and Golda A. Hayhurst to Trustees of the M. P. Church at the Union Church by Deed dated July 4, 1902 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 132, at Page 127, reference to which is hereby made.

PARCEL THREE

Beginning at a stake near a culvert in the secondary highway known as “Old Grafton Road”, corner to tother property of the Walnut Gove Methodist Church; thence with the easterly edge of said highway, S. 36° E. 92.50 feet to a stake; thence continuing with said edge of said highway, S. 32° 04’ E. 45 feet to a stake, corner of property of W. J. Wilcox and wife; thence with the line of said Wilcox property, S. 55° 15’ W. 119.30 feet to a point in Guysers Run; thence down said Run, N. 53° 45’ W. 105 feet to a point in said Run; thence leaving aid Run and with line of a drain, N. 41° 30’ E. 160 feet to the place of beginning, containing 16,819 square feet, more or less.

And being the same property conveyed from Thomas Ralph Hawkins etux to Trustees of Walnut Grove Methodist Church by Deed dated September 12, 1960 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 625, at Page 564, reference to which is hereby made.

PARCEL FOUR

BEGINNING at a stake at the South West corner of the property of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church as recorded in Deed Book 132, Page 127 made by and between Charles W. Hayhurst $ Wife to Trustees M. P. Union Church on July 4 in the year 1902, and duly recorded March 7, 1904, and running S. 40 W, as a continuance of said line between the parties of the first part and the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, for a distance of 65 feet to the center of Guysers Run thence E. 30 S. with the center of said run for a distance of 81 feet, thence N. 41 30 E. minutes for a distance of 44 feet, to a corner at the southeast boundary of the original property of the M. P. Union Church, thence with the line of said church property, N. 48 45 W. 82.5 feet to the beginning, and containing .09 acres more or less.

And being the same property conveyed from Thomas Ralph Hawkins etux to Trustees of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church by Deed dated April 27th 1990 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 889, at Page 1101, reference to which is hereby made.
Said Walnut Grove United Methodist Church was closed July 1, 2023 by a vote of a majority of the District Superintendents of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Town of Bradshaw West Virginia

To the Citizens of the Town of Bradshaw:

Please take notice that the Council of the Town of Bradshaw West Virginia will, on the 14th day of November, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers of the Town, hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance titled:

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF
SEWER RATES
FOR THE TOWN OF BRADSHAW MUNICIPAL SEWER SYSTEM

This ordinance proposes a new ordinance adopting new sewer rates to adequately support the operations of the sewer system of the Town.

Any person interested in the adoption of the proposed ordinance may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance.

A copy of the proposed ordinance may be inspected by the public at the office of the Recorder at the Town Hall during regular business hours.
