NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE A BONUS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE TAZEWELL COUNTY
CIRCUIT COURT CLERK’S OFFICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia, will conduct a public hearing on November 9, 2023 at 7:10 PM, or as soon thereafter as may be practical, at the Tazewell County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia 24651, and hereby gives its intent to consider An Ordinance to Approve a Bonus for Employees of the Tazewell County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.
The Clerk of the Tazewell County Circuit Court has requested that the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors consider authorizing an award of a one-time bonus of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) to each of the eleven (11) employees employed by the Tazewell County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office, being Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00) in total. Section 15.2-1508 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, requires that a Board of Supervisors shall enact an Ordinance whenever the Board of Supervisors seeks to provide payment of monetary bonuses to its officers and employees.
All persons wishing to comment on the Ordinance are hereby invited to attend and state their views thereon. A notification of five (5) working days before the meeting will enable the County Administrator’s Office to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to the meeting.
