NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES

BLUEWELL PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT
CASE NO. 23-0538-PSD-19A

The Bluewell Public Service District (Bluewell) has filed a request with the West Virginia Public Service Commission for an increase in its sewer rates. The Staff of the Public Service Commission has reviewed the application and recommended the following increases. The Step 1 rates will be replaced with the Step 2 rates when the merger between Bluewell and Bramwell Public Service Districts is complete.

The Commission may adopt rates and charges for the District which are the same as, greater than or less than the Staff-recommended rates and charges . Under the proposed Step 1 rates, the average residential customer will se an increase of $9.71 monthly, or 56.18%. Under Step 2 rates, the average residential customer will pay an additional $11.77 monthly over current rates, or 68.09%.

Anyone desiring to protest the proposed changes must do so in writing within ten days of the date of publicationof this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests should be specific as to reasons that the changed rates and charges should be modified. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter mµst demand a hearing in the letter of protest. If no substantial protest is filed, the Staff-recommended rates may be approved without hearing. Customers may also submit comments online at the Commission website.
