Notice is hereby given that Mid-Vol Coal Sales, Inc., 640 Clover Dew Dairy Rd, Princeton, WV 24739 has submitted anapplication with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a Phase I release on Permit Number S400709 Increment Number 1 (128.54 acres), Increment Number 2 (13.6 acres).
The permit is located in ADKIN District of McDowell County, 1.4 Miles Northeast of ANAWALT on Unnamed Tributaries of Dry Branch, Unnamed Tributaries of Indian Grave Branch of Little Creek and Unnamed Tributaries of Mill Branch all of Tug Fork River of Tug Fork River.
MID-VOL COAL SALES, INC completed backfilling and regrading on 12/20/2013 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount for Increment 1-$381,840.00; Increment 2-$41,440.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until December 28, 2023, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
