INVITATION TO BID
The Bramwell Foundation, owner of the Pence Hotel, 106 Main St, Bramwell, WV, is requesting a bid for major structural stabilization of the interior floors of the three-story building.
The project includes the installation of concrete wall footings, wood floor joists, steel beams and steel support pipes to stabilize the existing structure.
The project completion date is no later than June 30, 2024, and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon 1) cost, 2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and 3) proven ability to complete the project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
The bid package, including the Request for Quotes (RFQ), four PDF files of structural engineering drawings, and bid form is available by calling (304) 248 8049. The property will be open for a mandatory pre-bid walk-through on December 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The Structural Engineer will be present to review the engineering drawings.
All bids must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023.
