NOTICE OF PROPOSED
CONVEYANCE
OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY
(Bethel United Methodist Church)
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after December 22, 2023 QUITCLAIM, GRANT and CONVEY to the Trustees of the Bethel Church all of their right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of real estate situate at the forks of Dunkard Mill Run in Lincoln District, Marion County, West Virginia and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a stone in the fork of Said Run thence ____ four poles to leaning white oak, thence North East five poles to a Dogwood, thence South East four poles to a white oak, thence South West fifteen poles to the beginning, containing one fourth of an acre more or less.
And being the same property conveyed from Joel and Rebecca Pitzer to the Trustees of the Bethel Methodist Episcopal Church by Deed dated January 10, 1868 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Marion County, West Virginia in Deed Book 39, at Page 109, reference to which is hereby made.
Said Bethel United Methodist Church was declared closed October 15, 2023 by the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
