KANAWHA COUNTY,

The BDR-3-24 project is located along the West Virginia Turnpike at I-77 Mileposts 83.31 and 83.43. It consists of fully replacing the northbound and southbound bridge decks over Cabin Creek Road (County Route 79/3), Cabin Creek, and CSX Railroad, with precast deck panels and barriers utilizing accelerated bridge construction. All bridge decks shall be replaced during the designated ABC timeframe.

All work under this contract shall be completed by May 22nd, 2025. Median Barrier Wall work will be allowed from November 1st, 2024 to March 31st, 2025, provided the contractor maintains two (2) lanes of traffic in each direction as shown on plan sheet 91 of 328 under Stage 9: Post ABC – Median Construction.
Proposals will be received via Bid Express until 10:00 AM January 23rd, 2024 at which time said proposals will be publicly opened and read at the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306. Results may also be heard via teleconference by dialing this number and entering the participant code: (816)-702-6618, 160205756#. No bids will be received after the scheduled opening.
Prospective bidders must be prequalified in accordance with SECTION 102.1 of the WVDOH Standard Specifications. Contract Documents without Standard Specifications or other referenced standards can be obtained from www.bidexpress.com. Proposals must be made via Bid Express in the manner designated in the specifications, and must be accompanied by a CASHIER’S or CERTIFIED CHECK or BID BOND in favor of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, FOR AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPOSAL OR $2,000 WHICHEVER IS THE GREATER, and must be delivered to the office of the West Virginia Parkways Authority, Administration Building, 3310 Piedmont Road, Charleston, West Virginia 25306 on or before the day and hour named. Bid bonds may instead be submitted electronically via Bid Express. ANY BID THAT IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A BID BOND DELIVERED ELECTRONICALLY VIA BID EXPRESS OR A CASHIER’S CHECK, A CERTIFIED CHECK, OR A BID BOND DELIVERED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED ABOVE ON OR BEFORE THE DAY AND HOUR NAMED WILL BE CONSIDERED IRREGULAR.
All bids submitted by bidders who have been debarred or declared ineligible by the Director of the Purchasing Division shall be rejected.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals submitted, and to waive any or all formalities in bidding, as it may deem in its best interest.
