PUBLIC NOTICE

The filing period for the City of Beckley Municipal Election will begin Monday, January 8, 2024, and end on Saturday, January 27, 2024. Interested persons should come to City Hall, 409 South Kanawha Street, Beckley between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If mailing, the forms, and fee must be postmarked by the US Postal Service no later than midnight January 20, 2024.

The Municipal Election will be conducted on a non-partisan basis and will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. The position of Mayor and all seven Council seats will be up for election. Successful candidates will take office beginning July 1, 2024, and end on June 30, 2028. Filing fees are $ 15.00 for Mayor and $ 10.00 for Ward and At-Large Council.
