Description:
The Town of Richlands is hereby soliciting sealed bids for milling, paving, reflector installation, and striping a portion of Virigina Ave and overlay paving of portions of Kents Ridge Rd.
The Virginia Ave paving will begin at after the bridge over the Clinch River and will continue to the intersection of Virginia and Rec Park Rd.; this is estimated to be 4,700 feet of roadway with approximately 124,000 sq ft of roadway to be milled, paved, reflectors installed, and striped. All milling will be retained by the Town.
The Kents Ridge Rd paving will be an overlay paving beginning at the intersection of Kents Ridge Rd and Veterans Ave and will continue to the Richlands corporate limits; this is estimated to be 9,500 feet of road way with approximately 250,000 sq ft of roadway to be paved.
The Town Reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to decline the award to any or all bidders. If the bid from the lowest responsible bidder exceeds available funds, the Town may negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price with available funds. The submission of a bid does not by implication or expression commit to enter into an agreement with that bidder, or any other bidder. The Town Manager is authorized by the Town Council to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder without further action from the Council. The Town may waive any information in the bid response.
Invitation for Bids will be received at the Richlands Town Hall before, but no later than 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 31th. GIS mapping of the locations are attached. Successful bidder will coordinate timing of stated work and all work must be completed before July 1, 2024.
