Notice is hereby given that ENERGY PLUS, INC., 302 SOUTH JEFFERSON STREET, ROANOKE, VA 24011 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 60.01 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U401511 to Coal Underground in the Little Fire Creek seam of coal. The operation is discharging into unnamed tributaries of/and Belcher Branch, Sulphur Branch, Jenny Branch, Smith Branch of Pinnacle Creek; and unnamed tributaries of/and Fort Branch, Big Branch, White Oak Branch; all of the Guyandotte River of the Ohio River and is located 2.5 miles, South of Pineville in Center District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81o 30’ 16” and Latitude 37o 32’ 46” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until February 15, 2024, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
