REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Beckley Sanitary Board will accept sealed bids for design, construction and delivery to Beckley WV of a litter catchment device to be installed within an urban stream. The purpose of the device will be to collect in-stream litter passively, as streamflow carries the litter into the catchment. The device will be deployed in an urban stream setting, subject to all weather conditions, and variable stream flow intensities. The device must be able to float, anchored to fixed points along the stream bank. The device and anchoring system must be able to withstand pressure of stream current, including during storm events, and when device is full of litter or other debris. Litter control device should exhibit proven design and history of effectiveness.

Sealed bids will be received by the Sanitary Board until 2:00 p.m. LPT, on Friday, January 19th, 2024. All bids, properly submitted, will then be publicly opened and read aloud.
All bids are to be delivered to the Environmental Department, Beckley Sanitary Board, 301 South Heber Street, (or P. O. Box 2494, Beckley, West Virginia, 25802) Beckley, West Virginia, 25801. The sealed envelope containing the bid must be clearly marked “BSB Litter Catchment Project” on the outside of the envelope. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of twenty (20) days following the opening.
The Beckley Sanitary Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
