Notice is hereby given that Consol Mining Company LLC, 275 Technology Drive, Suite 101, Canonsburg, PA 15317 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number U301318 in order to add 4.52 acres for the dewatering of the Itmann No. 3 Mine. Underground pumping will occur from the Itmann No. 5 Mine into the Itmann No. 3 Mine. The area to be added, which is within 100 feet of WV State Route 10/16, will include an existing dewatering site and a proposed treatment pond.
The revised permit will discharge into Still Run of/ and the Guyandotte River (Receiving Stream) of the Ohio River (Major Subbasin) and is located 1.2 (miles), northwest (Direction) of Itmann (Nearest PO) in Slab Fork District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81° 25’ 29” and Latitude 37° 35’ 24” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until March 28, 2024, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
