Notice is hereby given that MID-VOL COAL SALES, INC., 640 CLOVER DEW DAIRY RD, PRINCETON, WV 24739 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number D012782 Increment Number 6 issued for 2.65 acres.
The permit is located in ADKIN District of McDowell County, 1.0 miles Southeast of THORPE on Lick Branch of Tug Fork River of Tug Fork River.
MID-VOL COAL SALES, INC. completed backfilling and regrading on 4/1/2019 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $10,000.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until March 31, 2024, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
