ATTENTION PRINCETON
RESIDENTS- PUBLIC HEARING

The Planning Commission for the City of Princeton, WV will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, the 30th day of April, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 800 Bee Street, Princeton, West Virginia. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to consider recommending to the City Council the following amendment to the code of the City of Princeton: Special use for C-1 Commercial and C-2 Commercial districts: “The sale with serving on-site of beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages – may be permitted in clubs, pubs, craft beer breweries, and other establishments, all of which must also serve prepared foods and meet the “commercial cooking” requirements of the West Virginia Fire Code, after a Special Use Permit has been issued by the City. Application for such a Special Use Permit shall first be submitted to the City’s Zoning Board of Appeals and, if granted, be referred to the City Clerk for issuance of a license. The Special Use Permit shall be revoked if there are valid complaints referred by the Police Department to the Zoning Board of Appeals and Council. Provided, that upon request by the owner and at the discretion of the Zoning Board of Appeals, an exemption to the prepared foods requirement may be granted to craft beer breweries and tap houses.”
