NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAZEWELL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

AN ORDINANCE TO EXEMPT REAL ESTATE TAXATION FOR THE TRIANGLE SPORTSMENS’ CLUB, INCORPORATED,
LOCATED AT
770 TRIANGLE ROAD,
BLUEFIELD, VA 24605
BY LOCAL DESIGNATION
FROM ASSESSMENT OF
REAL ESTATE TAXES

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia (hereafter, “the Board”) will hold a public hearing on April 9, 2024, at 6:50 PM, or as soon thereafter as may be practical, in the Tazewell County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, VA 24651, to hear comments regarding the Board’s consideration of an exemption from full assessment real estate taxation for the property of Triangle Sportsmens’ Club, Incorporated. The subject real estate is located at 770 Triangle Road, Bluefield, VA 24605, identified on the tax rolls of Tazewell County, Virginia as Tax Map No. 040 A 0015. Triangle Sportsmens’ Club, Incorporated desires to use the subject real estate to educate the public about firearm safety and offer hands-on training and programs devoted to the proper use of firearms.

This Ordinance to Exempt Real Estate Taxation for the Triangle Sportsmens’ Club, Incorporated, Located at 770 Triangle Road, Bluefield, VA 24605 by Local Designation from Assessment of Real Estate Taxes is authorized by Section 58.1-3651 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended. The exemption would be for taxes on the real property and improvements thereupon. The annual combined assessed value of the subject real estate is Three Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($332,800.00), effective January 1, 2024. The total annual expected exemption would be One Thousand, Nine Hundred Thirty Dollars and Twenty-Four Cents ($1,930.24). The exemption would be conditioned on use of the property for non-profit charitable and benevolent activities.

All persons wishing to comment on the proposed Resolution are hereby invited to attend and state their views thereon. A notification of five (5) working days before the meeting will enable the County Administrator’s Office to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to the meeting.
