Sealed bids for a Walk-In Freezer/Cooler for Cranberry Prosperity Elementary, Dough Dividers for Independence High, Liberty High, Shady Spring High, and Woodrow Wilson High, and Combi Ovens for Daniels Elementary, Beckley Stratton Middle, and Park Middle will be received by the Raleigh County Board of Education, 2001 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, West Virginia, 25801 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, by 3:00 pm EST. Bids will be opened and read aloud Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 10:00 am EST.

Neither dating of bid form nor placing in mail by this date will meet requirements. Bid documents must be received on or before the date and time stated. Bidders must comply with all requirements and conditions set forth in the document package.

Bidding documents may be obtained at the Raleigh County Board of Education, Purchasing Department, 2001 South Kanawha Street, Beckley WV 25801 or downloaded from Raleigh County Website at www.boe.rale.k12.wv.us/page/rfp-bids.

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for interested Bidders and optional for interested sub-bidders or material suppliers. All Bidders MUST attend the Prebid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified.

After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days.

Pursuant to Chapter 21 – Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors W.V. License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements.

All bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price if the bid is over $25,000.00. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if the contract is over $25,000.00.

The Raleigh County Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its procurement policies, practices, or procedures. The Raleigh County Board of Education or designee reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to make such selection by item or total bid amount as deemed to be in the best interest of Raleigh County Schools.
