Notice is hereby given that Consol Mining Company LLC, 275 Technology Drive, Suite 101, Canonsburg, PA 15317 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 32.22 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U301318 to Coal Underground in the Pocahontas 3 seam of coal.
The operation is discharging into Unnamed tributaries of/and Still Run of the Guyandotte River of the Ohio River and is located 1.2 miles, northwest of Itmann in Slab Fork District of Wyoming County, Longitude 81o 25’ 29” and Latitude 37o 35’ 24” (Coordinates form USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until June 10, 2024, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
