Code 8A-8-11, Notice is hereby given that the City of Smithers Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Smithers City Hall, #2 Greyhound Lane, Smithers, West Virginia 25186, to consider a variance request submitted by Deb's Hot Spot LLC concerning property located at 693 Midland Trail, Smithers, West Virginia 25186, identified as Fayette County, Smithers Corp. Map 6, Parcel 233. The subject property is located in the General Commercial Corridor District. The applicant requests variance relief from the City of Smithers Zoning Ordinance relating to a proposed Video Gaming or Lottery Establishment / Video Lottery use at the property, including applicable setback or separation requirements. After the conclusion of the hearing, the Board of Zoning Appeals may approve the request, approve the request with conditions, deny the request, continue the hearing, or take the matter under advisement. The application and related materials may be inspected at Smithers City Hall during regular business hours.
