Description: Lot No. 6, of Section No. 2 of the Central Addition to the City of Beckley;
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on or about the 18th day of March, 2026, the undersigned Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Beckley, West Virginia, did inspect the structure(s) located at the above-referenced property. Also, on May 14, 2026, a hearing was held before the Honorable Judge Matthew Fragile of the Municipal Court of the City of Beckley regarding a petition to demolish the said structure(s), of which the Court granted the petition to demolish, and Ordered the structure(s) on the above-referenced property to be demolished, and a lien placed on the property for the costs of the demolition.
The structure has been determined to be unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous, and/or unfit for human habitation, and constitutes a hazard to public health, safety, and welfare pursuant to West Virginia Code §8-12-16 and applicable municipal ordinances.
By reason of the foregoing conditions, the structure is hereby ORDERED TO BE REPAIRED OR DEMOLISHED.
You are hereby ordered to:
Repair and bring the structure into full compliance with applicable building and safety codes; or demolish and remove the structure and all debris from the property; within 30 days of service or publication of this Notice.
If you fail to comply within the time specified, the City of Beckley may cause the structure to be repaired or demolished and removed. The cost thereof, including administrative and legal costs, may be certified as a lien against the property as provided by law.
You are entitled to request a hearing to reconsider the above-mentioned ruling by the Municipal Court Judge by filing a written request to the City of Beckley Municipal Court within 30 days of service or publication of this notice.
