NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING A PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATING TO SEWER RATES, FEES AND CHARGES OF THE CITY OF MILTON Pursuant to the provisions of West Virginia Code 24-2-4b(b) and Public Service Commission Tariff Rule 23.1.3, notice is hereby provided that, on the 24th day of March, 2022, the City Council of the City of Milton caused to be read an Ordinance proposing an increase of rates, fees and charges to its current Sewer tariff proposing an increase in its sewer rates and charges to cover debt service costs necessitated by bid overruns for the construction of its upcoming sewer project as approved on March 18, 2020 in Public Service Commission Case No.19-1048-S-CN and Cash Working Capital reserve requirements associated with its sewer system required by West Virginia Code 24-1-1(k) and is proposing the adoption of same. The title of such Ordinance reads: AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH THE RATES, FEES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS OF THE SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF MILTON The City Council of the City of Milton will have its second and final reading and vote on the ordinance on April 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1139 Smith Street, Milton, West Virginia. The meeting will be open to the public. Any members of the public desiring to appear at the hearing and present comments or protests, if any, with respect to the proposed Ordinance may appear and be heard. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office located at City Hall, 1139 Smith Street, Milton, West Virginia.
