NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPROVE WATER PROJECTS Notice is hereby given that the board of the Mason County Public Service District (“District”) will consider adopting a resolution approving three water projects. The Mason County Commission has committed a $1.9 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act, Local Fiscal Recovery Funds for water extensions in the Flatfoot Road, State Rt. 817, and Duncan Creek Road areas (“Water Extension Project”). The J2Y35 Distribution System Rehabilitation Project is estimated to cost $1,400,000 and will be financed with a $400,000 grant contribution from the Mason County Commission, a $500,000 IJDC grant, and a $500,000 WV Bureau for Public Health Drinking Water Treatment Revolving Fund (“DWTRF”) forgivable loan (which is effectively a grant). No rate increase is needed to implement the Ashton, J2Y35, and Extension Projects.
