NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE NOTICE OF PUBLICHEARING ON VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE RESOLUTION TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT AND PROJECT AGREEMENT WITH THE BARBOURSVILLELITTLE LEAGUE INC. AND RELATED MATTERS AUTHORITY UNDER W.Va. Code 8-12-18, 8-32-1- Notice ishereby given by the Village of Barboursville that it will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March, 7, 2023, at 7:30 pm at City Hall, Council Chambers, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504. The purpose of this public hearing is todiscuss the Village of Barboursville’s proposed Lease Resolution, theprincipal object of which is to lease property owned by the Village ofBarboursville to the Barboursville Little League Inc., a 501(c)(3) entity, for athletic, baseball, softball fields -tobe located within the Village of Barboursville Park for a term of the earlier of50 years or until the date the Leased Premises is no longer used as athleticfields by the Barboursville Little League, and for a yearly lease payment of$1.00, and such other terms as in the Lease and the Project Agreement appropriating $280,000 dollars for a portion of improvements to be made to the athleticfields, and at such hearing all objections and suggestions shall also be heardand the Village of Barboursville council shall then take such action as itshall deem proper upon a Resolution titled: A RESOLUTION TO EXECUTE ALEASE AGREEMENT, A PROJECT ONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT, AND ANY OTHER RELATEDDOCUMENTS, BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE AND THE BARBOURSVILLE LITTLELEAGUE FOR REAL PROPERTY AND ATHLETIC FIELD FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THEBARBOURSVILLE PARK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES RELATED THERETO. The information gathered and presented at this public hearing will be utilized by the Village in its discussion and determination on whetherto adopt the Resolution and approve the Lease and Project Agreement. The Village of Barboursville proposed Resolution, Lease, and ProjectAgreement will be available forpublic inspection in the City Hall, 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504, during normal business hours,Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing on Tuesday, March 7, 2023,at 7:30 pm and to present oral or written comments concerningthe Resolution, Lease, and Project Agreement at that time. A vote on the Resolution will take place immediately after the public hearingat the regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
