NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGON VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING “PART THREE – TRAFFIC CODE, CHAPTER FIVE -VEHICULAR OPERATION, ARTICLE 335. SPEED RESTRICTIONS” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE, AND RELATED MATTERS AUTHORITYUNDER W.Va. Code 8-11-3 – Notice is hereby given by the Village of Barboursville,West Virginia, that it will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 2,2023, at 7:15 pm at City Hall, CouncilChambers, 721 Central Avenue,Barboursville, West Virginia25504. The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the Village of Barboursville’sproposed Ordinance, the principalobject of which is to amend and update “Article 335. Speed Restrictions” of the Codified Ordinance of theVillage ofBarboursville and prescribereasonable penalties for violation of its ordinances governing speed restrictions, inthe form of fines for speeding violations in the Village of Barboursville; and such other terms as in the Ordinance, and at such hearing all objectionsand suggestions shall also be heardand the Village ofBarboursville council shall then take such action as it shalldeem proper upon an Ordinance titled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ANDREENACTING “PART THREE – TRAFFIC CODE,CHAPTER FIVE – VEHICULAR OPERATION, ARTICLE 335. SPEED RESTRICTIONS” OF THE CODIFIEDORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF BARBOURSVILLE The information gathered and presented at this public hearing will be utilized bythe Village in its discussion and determination on whether to adopt the Ordinance and approve the Charter amendments and Administrative Code Section amendments. The Village of Barboursville proposed Ordinance will be available for public inspection in the CityHall, 721 CentralAvenue, Barboursville, West Virginia 25504, during normal business hours, Mondaythrough Friday (excluding holidays), between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2023,at 7:15 pm, in City Hall, 721 CentralAvenue, Barboursville, West Virginia25504. A vote on the Ordinancewill take place immediatelyafter the public hearingat the regularly scheduled Council meeting at 7:30 pm on Tuesday,May 2, 2023.
