ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Mingo County Schools will receive bids until 1:30 P.M., Local Time, on June 15, 2023, and then at said location, publicly opened and read aloud. The Tug Valley High School Bank Stabilization Project is in Mingo County, West Virginia. The Contract includes: This project involves furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for removal of existing chain link fence, excavation of existing landslide area, placement of rock fill materials, erosion, and sediment control, seeding and mulching, replacement of chain link fence and other items as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Sealed proposals for this Contract shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as follows: “Emailed Proposal for this project will not be opened until 1:30 PM, local time, June 15, 2023.” ALL BIDS TO BE SUBMITTED TO [email protected] , with the Subject Line plainly labelled as “MINGO COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION- BID FOR TUG VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL BANK STABILIZATION PROJECT” A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier’s check made payable to the Mingo County Board of Education must accompany all Bids. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The Contractor shall comply with the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act and shall require all subcontractors to comply with that Act. A Contractor’s License Number is to be included on the bid submission. The Bidder understands that to the extent allowed by the West Virginia Code, the OWNER reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid, or Bids, and to reject any or all Bids in whole or in part; to reject a bid not accompanied by the required bid security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents; to reject any condition of the bid by the Bidder that is in any way inconsistent with the requirements, terms and conditions of the Bidding Documents; or to reject a bid that is in any way incomplete or irregular. The Bidder, if successful and awarded the contract, agrees that all WORK is to be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days following receipt of the OWNER’S written Notice to Proceed. For each calendar day of delay in achieving completion, the Contractor shall be liable for and shall pay the OWNER liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day. Any WORK performed or any materials contracted for prior to the receipt of the OWNER’S written Notice to Proceed shall be at the Bidder’s risk. Upon receipt of the OWNER’S written Notice to Acceptance of this bid, the Bidder agrees that he shall execute and deliver the contract along with insurance certificates as set forth in the Bidding Documents to the OWNER within ten (10) consecutive calendar days, or the Bidder shall forfeit the security deposited with this bid. Mingo County Schools reserves the right to reject all bids, in whole or in part, and select the bid that is most advantageous to the Mingo County School District.
